How does the roleplay tab work?

That is an interesting catch. In my time here, I've never actually clicked on the newest roleplays button, just on the ones displayed there that catch my eye. What the problem seems like to me is that when using the tab to sort roleplays from newest to oldest, it doesn't include all the roleplays. What the criteria for appearing on the list is, I do not know. Perhaps there is a small wait time? The Cousin, which is currently at the top of the list when sorting for newest, was created on July 24th, but we get new roleplays everyday. Hmm.

Well, I can't tell you why the sort by newest function doesn't include all roleplays, but I can offer some advice. If you are worried your roleplay will be drowned out, post in roleplayers wanted. Myself, and nearly everyone I've played with uses that forum to find the hidden gems. Don't just half ass it with a link though, put some description on it, like you're making a trailer. Also, go in and add more tags. Tag everything even remotely related to your roleplay, so if people search for something they like, they are more likely to get directed to yours.

As for wanting to join a new roleplay, the 5 under the button are the absolute newest, so they are good to use. Just as well, you can check out the interest checks forums, where people post their ideas for upcoming roleplays. If you find something you are interested in, tell the author. Having more support encourages them to make the roleplay a reality. Also, you should post your ideas in Interest checks, so you can get some members to join before you even post the roleplay.

Hopefully that helps a little. A mod or admin should be able to give a better answer to why the sorting system works like it does.
