Word Play: Empowerment-"Must I?" | skirt!

In my last post I began a word game from the word "Empowerment" and we began with "E" is for Empowerment. In this post we move to the next letter, "M" for "Must I?" At some point in our journey towards self-improvement we come across obstacles or roadblocks which seem to stop us in our tracks. We don't want to face them. We think we can't overcome them. So maybe we want to just stop where we are and be happy with what we've done. When the support system, whatever that may be, encourages us to move on, we get scared. It's new territory. It's a lot of work--hard work. We just don't think we have it within us to do it so we ask, "Do I have to do this? Do I have to go further? Must I?" Well, the simple but complex answer is, "It's up to you."

This is the beginning of finding-discovering-the empowered you. This is the point at which you progress further in your beginning of empowerment. The very beginning was when you decided to change your self. Your decision and you should think it through. Weigh your options. If you answer is "Yes" then we have some work to do. Part of being empowered and confident is having the strength to work with your support system and do the work necessary. It may take a few moments, and by that I mean possibly days or weeks, to stop, look inward and find that piece of you-your resolve-to move forward. And, yes, this is another layer of work to do to come to that place of nirvana. I like to think of it as a layer or a distraction. Maybe even an annoyance. However you view it, it is part of the bigger process even though it feels like it's taking you away from the main goal. Keep working at it. Next time: "P".
